Research Overview

I am a researcher in Applied Microeconomics. I hold a Ph.D. in Economics from Lancaster University Management School (LUMS) and a Master in Finance and Economics (MEF) from the University of Naples 'Federico II' (2021). My main research interests are Environmental, Education, Public, and Labour Economics (I still have to decide which one I prefer). The first chapter of my dissertation studies the impact of new fuel efficiency and emissions standards for cars (CAFE) in the US on high-skilled employment. My second chapter studies the impact of Asylum Seekers Reception Centres (ASRC) on Italian municipalities' public finances, while the third one focuses on the political impact of these centres on mayors' re-election, together with Prof. Giuseppe Migali. I'm currently analysing the effects of non-trade barriers (NTB) for environmental protection on employment in Germany using the database of the IZA, together with Pavel Chakraborty.I hold a position as Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of Turin within the project "Tackling Inequalities in Educational Outcomes: Experimental Evidence from Italian Primary Schools" with Prof. Silvia Mendolia. I also have a temporary teaching position at 'Magna Graecia' University in Italy for the module "Statistics and Data Analysis" within the course Public Administration and Society.
