My research interests span a wide range of applied economics/econometrics. She has been working on flexible labour markets in Europe and this has included an examination of the success of the various short-time working schemes (furlough) adopted during the pandemic. Allied work looks at labour market transitions. I also have interests in education and am investigating how successful international aid has been in improving educational attainment, one of the key SDGs. I am also looking at the role of financial development on growth and have been working in a related field looking at foreign direct investment and growth. My interests also cover productivity and emerging economies.
