My research interests lie in the fields of HRM and Organisational Behaviour. In particular, I am interested in exploring contemporary HRM concepts and practices focusing on the employee experiences and meanings they assign to these specific concepts. In my work I use a critical approach to analyse HRM strategies and practices as well as the changing nature of the employment relationship.

Understanding Work Engagement from an Employee Perspective: A Qualitative Exploration
Current Research
My main research interest and the focus of my doctoral study is the concept of employee engagement. In particular, I am interested in understanding the nature of this phenomenon, and the reasons for people to dedicate themselves to and engage with their work. In order to gain this deep understanding, I focus on exploring the ways in which engagement is perceived and experienced by employees in organisations.
