Matteo Caruso
PhD studentResearch Overview
I am a second-year Ph.D. student in the Department of Economics. My area of research concerns environmental economics, labour economics, and applied microeconomics. The first chapter of my dissertation studies the impact of new fuel efficiency and emissions standards for cars in the US on high-skilled employment. I'm currently analysing the effects of non-trade barriers (NTB) for environmental protection on German employment. For my future research, I would like to study the economic impact of climate-related events and their effects on labour supply and demand.
