This in-person talk is for undergraduates considering a Master's degree.
Economists play a crucial role in designing policies that balance economic growth with environmental protection. This session explores the concept of carbon pricing, a market-based approach to reducing greenhouse gas emissions. We'll examine how carbon taxes and cap-and-trade systems work, their theoretical underpinnings, and real-world implementations in various countries. This topic showcases the relevance of (environmental) economics in addressing current global challenges, like climate change.
Our Business Master's Taster Series is aimed at current undergraduates who would like to know more about studying Business at a Master's level. After the talk there will be the opportunity to ask questions and talk to the lecturer and the recruitment team.
