Join us for a special event sponsored by Lancaster University Management School (LUMS), held in the Lancaster University's Suite at Lancaster Castle. This session is dedicated to combating modern slavery, showcasing pioneering research, collaborations, and activities conducted at LUMS. Discover how regulation, data, and artificial intelligence play a crucial role in eradicating this pressing issue.

This workshop offers a unique exploration into how legislative frameworks, innovative data analysis, and artificial intelligence are important tools in the fight against modern slavery. Join us to uncover the latest strategies, engage with experts in the field, and learn how regulation and technology can empower us to make a significant impact. This workshop is designed for those looking to deepen their understanding of the complexities of modern slavery and explore how cutting-edge technology can be harnessed in the pursuit of freedom and justice for all.

In this workshop, you'll see how WikiRate (an open data platform powered by the community) is pioneering the use of data to study modern slavery compliance, providing important insights that drive change. A team from Lancaster University will showcase how AI can be used to assess modern slavery risk. Furthermore, as an integral part of our program, the Knowledge and Action Hub: Modern slavery, justice and complex supply chains at the Pentland Centre will host a roundtable discussion on the roles of regulation and awareness in eradicating slavery.

The conference will be held at Lancaster University's Suite at Lancaster Castle; more details about the castle are available here.
