The Association of MBAs (AMBA) has awarded Lancaster University Management School (LUMS) full accreditation for the next five years.

As a leading Management School, LUMS regularly hosts its external accreditors who visit to independently assess the School, interview students and staff and ensure LUMS’ overall high standards continue to be upheld.

In March, a panel of four members representing AMBA visited LUMS’ Bailrigg campus to carry out an accreditation visit over the course of two days. AMBA has since confirmed LUMS’ reaccreditation and strengths in key areas, including its global network of 100+ Entrepreneurs in Residence (EiR) who contribute ‘real value’ by offering students insight into real-life experiences from the front line of business, first-hand knowledge of different international markets and mentoring services for students.

AMBA also commends LUMS for the feedback staff give to students on its Executive MBA programme.

Professor Claire Leitch, Executive Dean of LUMS said: “This is fantastic news for LUMS and I’m very proud that our accreditation with AMBA continues.

“Maintaining our triple crown accreditation isn’t easy but is incredibly important. Accreditations serve as independent benchmarks that demonstrate to our students that we are among the best in the world for delivering high-quality programmes, teaching and enriching learning experiences.

“So much effort goes into upholding our high standards and to ensure we continue to challenge our students - and ourselves - to be the very best we can be. This re-accreditation is testament to our academic and professional services staff who regularly go above and beyond, as well as our exceptional students themselves who throw themselves into our programmes wholeheartedly.

“I would like to thank everyone involved for hosting such a successful visit.”

AMBA is the world’s leading specialist MBA and post-graduate management education quality assurance provider, and global student and graduate network. It accredits MBA, DBA and Master’s Degree programmes from the top 2% of business schools across five continents. It’s rigorous MBA accreditation criteria ensures that only programmes demonstrating the highest standards in teaching, learning and curriculum design, career development and employability, student, alumni and employer interaction achieve AMBA accreditation.

Lancaster University Management School is one of an elite group of Schools globally to be triple accredited by AACSB, EQUIS and the Association of MBAs.
