TNP was formed in 2012 by Scott Daniels and Robin Williams, who both graduated from Lancaster University in 2004 with degrees in Computer Science. Paul Astle, a Lancaster Operations Management graduate (2001) joined the company later that year.

Since then, TNP has grown in size and recently won a £1.5 million contract with Blackburn and Darwen Council, as well as receiving the award for New Business of the Year in the Lancashire Chamber of Commerce ‘Be Inspired Business Awards’ (BIBAs).

After just two years of trading, TNP has seen its turnover grow to £1.8 million a year and the team have high hopes for the future.

Based in Lancaster University’s Knowledge Business Centre, the TNP trio have kept strong links with the University and the North West. They have won large contracts with local authorities in the North West and Scotland, including Blackpool Council, Blackburn and Darwen Council, Warrington Council, Stirling Council and The Shetland Islands.

Their mix of technical and practical skills allows them to compete with large companies such as BT and they now provide critical network infrastructure that runs everything from care homes to traffic lights.

TNP have also acquired industry recognised accreditations ISO9001, ISO27001, CHAS and UVDB, forming the foundation of strong management processes to enable growth, and allowing TNP to bid for large public sector contracts.

As part of wining New Business of the Year, TNP won two places at Lancaster University Management School’s BIBAs Academy. Paul will be enrolling on one of these places soon, thus coming full circle - back to where he graduated in 2001.
