Joe Regan-Stansfield has received the Professor Balasubramanyam Prize for achievements in his studies of Development Economics at Lancaster University.
Joe studied BSc (Hons) Economics and graduated with first-class honours this summer.
The endowed Prize fund was donated by Professor Jagdish Bhagwati and Professor Padma Desai, and July 2014 is the first time that this Prize has been awarded.
Joe said: "I am delighted and proud to receive this Prize in recognition of my studies in the field of Development Economics. I am very grateful for the effort and cost expended to create this award. Like the whole of my Economics studies at Lancaster, I vastly enjoyed participating in the Development Economics module. The financial prize is very generous and will help me greatly as I prepare to begin my Economics MSc studies at Lancaster in September. Once again, many many thanks."
We look forward to welcoming back Joe to his postgraduate studies and wish him every success in this and for the future.
