Prospective students applying to the Executive MBA programme will now be able to enter a competition to win up to £10,000 in a memorial scholarship.
The Dr Andy Bailey Scholarship Competition is based on a strategic case study. Entrants will have to analyse the case and answer a given question. The case study will then be discussed at the EMBA Open Day on Saturday 2nd July, and the winner will be selected by Lancaster faculty.
The scholarship is named after the former Director of the Executive MBA. Dr Bailey was also Director of the Centre for Strategic Management and a tutor on Lancaster’s Strategic Management module, ranked as the no1 strategy module in the world by the Financial Times 2016.
There are three scholarship awards to win: a top prize of £10,000, and two second prizes of £5,000 each.
Current Executive MBA Director Chris Saunders said: "We are really pleased to be able to launch this scholarship in memory of Andy. Andy made a huge difference with his leadership of the EMBA, the Management Development Division, and the Centre for Strategic Management. His care as a tutor challenged the thinking, and changed the lives of many of our students, and we hope this scholarship will enable us to continue that legacy."
