A team of undergraduates from Lancaster University Management School have successfully fought their way through to the national final of the Universities Business Challenge.
James Pemberton (BSc Business Studies), Lydia Kerr (BA Management and Organisations), Elena Evgenieva (BSc Business Studies), Andrew Sien (BSc Accounting and Finance) and Gabriella Au (BSc Marketing), beat more than 300 teams from across the UK to win a place in the final, which takes place at IBM London on Thursday next week.
James said: “The opportunity to participate in the Universities Business Challenge has been fantastic as the previous rounds have really tested the skills that we have developed whilst at university and on placement. We are delighted to have reached the final and can’t wait to find out what they have in store for us next week!”
The team were supported and funded by LUMS Careers, Alumni and Employer Relations team and by the LUMS Undergraduate Office.
LUMS Undergraduate Careers Advisor Kat Price Edwards said: “Since last term, the team had to submit weekly detailed, multifaceted, commercial reports as part of a business simulation exercise in order to qualify for the semi-finals and now we look forward with confidence to the final.”
