LUMS Advisory Board member takes new position with Renishaw

Kath Durrant, who sits on Lancaster University Management School’s Advisory Board, will be taking up a new position as a non-executive director for the engineering firm Renishaw.
Kath was formerly Group Director of Human Resources at Rolls-Royce Plc. She previously held a variety of senior positions, most recently as Vice President, HR & Communications for the Research and Development division of pharmaceutical company AstraZeneca. Prior to AstraZeneca Kath spent a short time with GUS plc, and eleven years at GlaxoSmithKline plc. She started her career at the London Stock Exchange as a graduate trainee. She has a degree in History from Lancaster University.
At Renishaw, Kath will become a member of the Wotton-under-Edge-company’s remuneration committee and nomination committee.
Renishaw employs more than 3,300 people in over 30 countries and makes hi-tech measuring devices and other equipment used by leading manufacturers across the globe. Renishaw founder, chairman and chief executive Sir David McMurtry said: “With her extensive experience as a senior HR executive in the healthcare and engineering industries, Kath will be a valuable addition to the company’s resources at board level.”
