Our biggest Taiwan alumni event to date saw 47 Lancaster University alumni, students and applicants come together for an evening of updates and networking, on 8th January 2016.
Hosted by LUMS’ Head of International Development, Dr Radka Newton, the event included presentations about study and recent developments at Lancaster University as well as providing a great opportunity for networking over drinks and a delicious buffet. The excellent service and quality of the venue, the Regent Taipei hotel, was appreciated by all.
Dr Newton commented: “It was a real pleasure to meet with so many of our alumni, and to provide this opportunity for them to network with fellow Lancaster graduates. I was very impressed to see everyone’s networking skills in action and to hear of their experiences since leaving Lancaster.
I’m also grateful to the alumni who shared their knowledge of study and life at Lancaster with the applicants who attended the event.”
Our thanks to current Lancaster students Emily and Kelly Chi, who supported Dr Newton with the set up and running of the event; also to MSc E-Business and Innovation alumnus Hou-Chi Huang for his help with sourcing a venue.
