Lancaster University alumni based in Los Angeles were invited to attend hopefully the first of many alumni reunions in the LA area.
The dinner took place at the beautiful Skylight Gardens restaurant in Westwood, down the road from the University of California, Los Angeles, on Monday 4th April 2016. This was the first alumni reunion Lancaster University has held in Los Angeles.
The reunion consisted of a mixture of study abroad alumni from the US and Canada, and alumni who completed a three or four year degree at Lancaster.
Charlotte Lund, LUMS Alumni Coordinator, who hosted the event, said: “Overall it was a wonderful evening! The venue was fantastic and the food was delicious. It was my pleasure to have hosted this event which provided the alumni with the opportunity to network and connect with local LA residents. I very much enjoyed networking with the attendees who completed various degree programmes at Lancaster and have gone on to work in a variety of fields.
"I was also in Los Angeles attending a conference at UCLA, so it was nice to be able to meet fellow Lancaster University alumni whilst out there. It was also great to hear that all of the attendees are very keen to host future alumni events in Los Angeles!”
Photos of the event can be viewed on the LUMS Careers, Alumni & Employer Relations Flickr site.
