Lancaster academic wins best paper award

A paper by Professor Mike West of the Centre for Performance-Led HR has been named 'Outstanding Paper of 2013' by the editorial team of the Journal of Health Organization and Management.
The paper on 'Senior management leadership, social support, job design and stressor-to-strain relationships in hospital practice' was written with Dr Sandra Buttigieg of the Department of Health Services Management at the University of Malta.
The paper examines the effect of the quality of senior management leadership on social support and job design, and assesses the effects on strains and work stressors-to-strains relationships.
