Summer delights for an MSc Project Management student
Posted on
The summer term as a Master's student has passed by at an astonishing pace. I am currently engrossed in a client project, balancing an extensive workload and academic pursuits. Despite the demanding schedule, we reached a significant milestone a few weeks ago. As a result, I decided to take part in the Extravs celebration hosted by our university.
For those unfamiliar with this event, Extravs entails a lively gathering organized by each college to mark the end of the term. Typically, a specific theme or topic is chosen. This year, I opted to join the Pendle College Extravaganza, where the focal point revolved around the popular television series, "Stranger Things." I thoroughly enjoyed the festivities, although not all my friends shared the same enthusiasm for revelry throughout the night. Consequently, I conceived a few ideas for hosting a cosy summer party.
Allow me to present my recommendations:
- Why not plan a delightful picnic at Williamson Park? Prepare an assortment of delectable doughnuts, bring along a comfortable mat, and quench your thirst with refreshing beverages, all while basking in the enchanting surroundings. The expansive green fields offer the perfect backdrop for engaging in games of cards or dominos and capturing splendid photographs.
- Alternatively, you could organise a movie night with your companions at the esteemed Lancaster Vue Cinema. Personally, I derive immense pleasure from attending screenings there, indulging in the caramel popcorn, and immersing myself in the cinematic experience.
- Another enticing option would be to explore the recently discovered sushi establishment I stumbled upon a few days ago. Named "Nami Sushi," this venue promises an exquisite culinary adventure as you savour the delicate flavours of their delectable sushi offerings.
Above all, remember to extract the utmost value from these experiences in the end. Enjoy your stay at Lancaster.
