We often envision emerging technologies like AI through the lens of science fiction and popular media, as sentient, anthropomorphised machines with superhuman-like intelligence that have the power to destroy humanity (or save it!). However, the reality is often more mundane and unexciting.

In this Masterclass, we will look at how Design Fiction – a novel design approach that positions technological applications in future everyday settings – can help us explore the various potential implications of emerging technologies in new and exciting ways!
