Why did you choose to study at LUMS?
The degree provided the ability to go through the full analytics journey and had a great choice of optional modules alongside the industry dissertation.
What was the best thing about your course?
The industry dissertation allowing you to put into practice what you learnt and work with outside partners.
What/Who inspired you the most at LUMS and why?
The quality of the programme and also the location of the University with close proximity to the Lake District.
Did you do a project, placement or study abroad? What did this involve and what did you gain?
I did a project with Shell & ORTEC on windfarm optimisation. This grew my confidence significantly and challenged me to really think creatively in applying my analytical skills. Since the project's completion, it's now been published in the journal for Renewable Energy.

What are your best memories of your time at Lancaster?
Heading out to the Lake District when we had free time and walking/climbing a number of wainwrights.
What are the best things about living in the Lancaster area?
Lancaster's great history and incredible surroundings alongside easy access to The Lakes.
What impact did scholarships or funding have on your degree experience?
This was a main contributor to myself choosing Lancaster, it allowed me to better fund the course and made it more competitive.
Which parts of your Lancaster experience were the best preparation for your job?
The material and modules delivered during the course alongside the support from tutors and project with industry.
What impact has Lancaster had on your career?
It helped me gain the skills to secure my role & gave me experience of working on large projects.
