MSc Human Resource and Knowledge Management

My first impression of Lancaster University was that the school was pretty awesome. The University campus is beautiful, the student population is diverse, and you experience very different cultures. The people are very helpful and polite and the University's refurbished Library is suited to every learning preference and experience you can think of. In addition, student life can be pretty fun; you decide the pace.

So far, the programme has opened me up to so much more. The teachers are very insightful and knowledgeable. Their teaching styles create a more independent thinker. The department also organises highly relevant and informative trips to visit local organisations. In addition, there are really good employment opportunities and the staff constantly look for ways to prepare you for the real world; from computing to effective writing and documentation skills, to Masterclasses, where different individuals come to give lectures on industry-relevant topics. The Management School even has its own Career Service.

I live on campus, which is pretty cool and convenient. The gym is just a 10-minute walk from my dorm. The colleges are conducive to learning. A typical day for me would have to include (but not necessarily in this order!): breakfast, class, study, tutorial sessions and meetings (if any). And I love to explore the town in my spare time.

I joined the UNICEF Group, and I Attend the church on campus as well. The first time in Church, I was shocked to see they had invited a Magician. It turned out to be a pretty amazing evening service. I also attend music performances on campus. My favourite so far was when The Royal Northern College of Music performed (really talented group of people). The Storey, which is close to the train station, has also got some nice artsy shows.
