Why did you choose to study at LUMS?

I chose Lancaster because of its strong academic reputation and because of the college system, which I found really different. I also felt that the LUMS’ focus on research and employability would give me invaluable opportunities for learning and career growth.

What was the best thing about your course?

The best thing was the blend of theory and practical application. The course gave me real insights into core management principles, and incorporated real-world case studies and hands-on projects, meaning I could apply what I learned directly to actual business challenges. I enjoyed working and collaborating with a diverse cohort of students, which I feel helped me to prepare for a global business environment. The support, guidance and networking opportunities from the faculty and industry connections also made the program really valuable.

Who inspired you most at LUMS and why?

I was most inspired by the faculty, who brought their industry experience into the classroom. Beyond the coursework, we explored the campus, attended university events, and supported each other through the highs and lows of academic life. This friendship helped make Lancaster feel like home.

What are the best things about living in the Lancaster area?

I liked the charm of the town, the sense of community both on and off campus, and the natural beauty of the area. Being so close the Lake District meant there was always something interesting to do during weekends, like hiking, biking and exploring, and the local pubs and cafes were always warm and welcoming.
