Why did you choose to study at LUMS?

I chose LUMS because of its global reputation and strong UK ranking. I also liked the excellent facilities on offer, like the Bloomberg lab.

What was the best thing about your course?

The special dissertation stream gave me the opportunity to study for the CFA Level 1 exam while completing my degree in the third term.

Who inspired you most at LUMS and why?

Shiqi Chen. Her teaching style made learning Finance both enjoyable and effective.

What are your best memories of your time at Lancaster?

Preparing coursework for my Financial Data Platform (Bloomberg) module. My classmates and I chose a company of interest, and then built an analysis and valuation.

What are the best things about living in the Lancaster area?

Although Lancaster is a smaller town, it has everything I need. I loved that it is walkable and very peaceful.

What impact did scholarships or funding have on your degree experience?

It not only eased the burden of tuition expenses but also motivated me to excel in my studies, as I aimed to maximise my one year at Lancaster.

Which parts of your Lancaster experience were the best preparation for your job?

Balancing my academic commitments, social life, and the part-time job has enhanced my time management skills. This experience has taught me how to prioritise tasks effectively, which has been beneficial in my career.

What impact has your Lancaster experience had on your career?

Being part of a diverse international student community helped me develop strong communication skills across different cultures, making me comfortable working with people from various backgrounds.
