What are your best memories of your time at Lancaster?

I really valued the English language development support with Ruth and Helen in the library.

What are the best things about living in the Lancaster area?

The campus is great, with so many amenities available on location. It’s also a very safe place to live and study.

Which parts of your Lancaster experience were the best preparation for your job?

Studying at Lancaster gave me the emotional stability I needed to develop my skill set.

What impact has your Lancaster experience had on your career?

Working as a LUMS Student Ambassador helped me learn to take on responsibility and work as a team, which I will use as my career progresses.

Is there anything else about your LUMS experience that you'd like to share with us?

I booked one-to-one appointments in the LUMS writing zone to help me improve my essay writing. When I was finding my studies to be particularly challenging, one of my tutors shared a book called Mindset: The New Psychology of Success, which she said changed her life. There’s a line that I took from it which has really resonated with me: “success only defines events, not people, so allow for failure”.
