Why did you choose to study at LUMS?

I chose to study at LUMS because it offered an excellent opportunity to enhance my knowledge and skills in management. Additionally, as a globally renowned management school, I knew that LUMS could help me secure better career opportunities.

What was the best thing about your course?

The best thing about my course was its design, which really adapted to the changing times. The courses used the latest case studies for analysis and invited current managers to share their experiences with us. On top of that, courses like Digital Transformation let me study management issues at the forefront of contemporary developments. Working with classmates from different countries has broadened my perspective, and doing company projects allowed me to apply the theories I've learned to real-world situations.

Who inspired you most at LUMS and why?

The person who inspired me the most is Dr Ruilin Zhu. He guided me academically, in my career, and values. I never imagined I could overcome so many challenges and achieve such excellence. His guidance and the courage he instilled in me have been instrumental in helping me become a better version of myself. I am deeply thankful for his support and encouragement.

Did you do a project, placement or study abroad? What did this involve, and what did you gain?

I was fortunate to have the opportunity to study abroad at IESEG Management School in Paris. This experience exposed me to a different educational style and allowed me to meet friends from diverse cultural backgrounds. Living in France for an extended period deepened my understanding of its culture and traditions. Moreover, travelling to other European countries enriched my life experiences and gave me a broader perspective.

Describe your time at LUMS in three words.

Passion, confidence, fulfilment.

What are the best things about living in the Lancaster area?

I love Lancaster. No matter where I travel, I always look forward to returning to the calm and comfort that Lancaster provides. I believe this unique charm is what makes Lancaster special.
