The final and third place play-off took place on Monday 9 December for the Quiz Competition.

The third place playoff was a really close match throughout between Pendle and Graduate and it eventually came down to the last minute of play where Graduate just edged it on 140 to 130 points; Graduate take third.

It was no surprise that Furness were going to be a formidable side with three of their four players qualifying for this year's prospective University Challenge team.

Bowland put up a valiant fight but a few slips on the buzzer paired with Furness' outstanding speed led to a convincing 290 to -25 victory for Furness and their third year as quiz champions - congratulations!
