We know that applying to study at university is a big decision. At Lancaster, we pride ourselves on supporting applicants, teachers and parents to make informed decisions. We can help by bringing Lancaster to you; academics from our broad range of subjects can deliver lectures or workshops at your school or college.
We can deliver a lecture to your A-Level students on topics such as language variation and change, stylistics, forensic linguistics, language and power, language and cognition, bilingualism, and language acquisition. We can also talk about the study of English Language and Linguistics at university in general and Lancaster in particular.
We can arrange a visit from one of our department's student ambassadors as well or one of your former students where possible. They can talk about their experience here and about the transition to university.
If you are interested in any of these options, please do not hesitate to email us at linguistics@lancaster.ac.uk so that we can discuss times and topics.
