an anniversary event - conversation, interview, memories, drinks, etc
The University was founded in October 1964, which means that, as one of the founding departments, we are about to celebrate our 60th Anniversary.
To help us do this we:
- have put together a brief, illustrated web-page history of the Department, which we hope might ring a few bells; see here: https://www.lancaster.ac.uk/english-literature-and-creative-writing/our-history-your-history/
- are inviting our alumni to record a very brief video (anything up to 30 seconds) simply giving your name, saying what years you studied with us, maybe sharing a photo of yourself as a student and what you are doing now, and (above all) what you most enjoyed about the Department. If you could get these to us by, say, end of September, then come Michaelmas Term (October), we hope to respond to these video messages, and to include as many as we can in a compilation video. So, just email your video (MP4s please) to: elcwdo@lancaster.ac.uk with a note to say that you would be happy for it to appear online.
-- are inviting our alumni (and partners) to an evening to mark our 60th, this will be Thursday November 14 –in the University Library; there will be no charge
If you would like to attend, just email elcwdo@lancaster.ac.uk , adding the year in which you graduated.
