Based in Evesham, Worcestershire, Primafruit is a specialist fruit importer to the UK market.

Their focus is clear: ensuring year-round supplies of high-quality grapes, stonefruit, citrus, bananas, pineapples, kiwi and melons to the best retailers, food service providers and food preparation companies. Working collaboratively with a global grower base, the company places sustainability at the heart of its sourcing requirements. It procures from both northern and southern hemispheres mixing traditional sources with some pioneering new investments in countries such as Chile, Peru and Colombia.

Established in the 1930s, Di Donna is a family-run business that, three generations later, has become one of the largest exporters of table grapes out of Italy, and a proud supplier to the Waitrose programme. Di Donna grow over 350 hectares of table grapes including red, white, black and limited-selection varieties. Just over 2 years ago, Di Donna set about improving its biodiversity offering, and following the project’s initial success, it is now looking to roll this out to all of its farms within the next 5 years.

Di Donna continues to transform areas of untouched land for the purpose of biodiversity. The company’s next projects will include a rose garden, a box for bat preservation, and an ecological corridor to increase the number of beneficial insects.
