Research Overview

As a member of the photosynthesis research groups at Lancaster University I work to investigate how photosynthesis in crop plants could be more efficient. I conduct plant physiology measurements to investigate how photosynthesis responds to changes in light and temperature and how it can be manipulated to increase yields and make plants more resilient to changes in climate.

In my previous work I have helped to develop a system to phenotype root system architecture and investigated the forms of phosphorus in soil and if plants can access these.
