Research Overview

Emilee is a Marie Skłodowska-Curie PhD Researcher working on the SOPLAS project. Her keen interest in soil and water quality stems from being raised in rural Idaho. Her current research focuses on the interactions between microplastics and soil, specifically the transportation of microplastics from agricultural soils to freshwater ecosystems.

Prior to coming to Lancaster University her research focused on measuring denitrification rates in agricultural soils, groundwater and streams. Emilee has also been involved in several science education research projects and outreach programs.
