Our lives are increasingly urban & our food system is broken. Are these two facts connected, and in their connection does there lie a solution? Jess will talk about a new project exploring the transformative potential of urban agriculture for human and ecosystem health, and supply chain resilience.
Speaker Dr Jess Davies of The Pentland Centre for Sustainability in Business and Lancaster Environment Centre introduces the Rurban Revolution project.
The project started in April 2019 and is funded through the Global Food Security’s ‘Resilience of the UK Food System Programme’, with support from BBSRC, ESRC, NERC and The Scottish Government.
All students, staff and colleagues are encouraged to attend.
