There is simply no substitute for practical legal education, and I can say without hesitation that the Legal Advice Clinic module has prepared me for private practice the most. Taught by experienced, practicing solicitors, I feel far more prepared to enter the legal industry after undertaking a range of real-life-tasks.
My experience of a combined Law and Criminology degree has been excellent. With the core law modules I have been able to gain a solid foundation of various areas of law. With each module being so different, you are able to experience different aspects of law, discovering topics that you may wish to enter into in the future for a career.
Aspects of criminology go hand in hand with a law degree thereby allowing for a diverse and enjoyable degree with lots to offer. I’ve also had great support from the School, from academic advisors, seminar tutors, and drop in sessions, so I’ve never been left without the opportunity for help.
