ICIS Conference -7th July 2024
Our researchers had the incredible opportunity to present their work at the International Congress of Infant Studies (ICIS) in Glasgow! For those who might not know, the International Congress of Infant Studies is a biennial gathering where researchers and practitioners come together to discuss the latest advancements and theories in the field. From presenting our posters and giving talks to catching up with familiar faces like our former PhD students Christian and Matt, it was a week filled with inspiration and knowledge sharing.
Celebration of Science - 18th-19th April 2024
Congratulations to all the winners of this week's Celebration of Science and Technology at Lancaster University! Special shoutout to Betul Teksin from the Lancaster University Babylab for winning the award for the best poster. Campus in the City - 11th-13th April 2024
Charlotte and Kirsty Dunn attended Campus in the City in April. They spoke with members of the public about the range of research that the project relates to, from prenatal development to children's later cognition. Charlotte and Kirsty performed demonstrations and did interactive tasks with children. These related to what you see, hear, taste and feel before birth, as well as children's language development such as their first words. This was an excellent opportunity to provide people of all ages and professions with an insight into the world of developmental psychology research.
From Womb to Wisdom Talk - 21st March 2024
Kirsty Dunn visited More Music in Morecambe to deliver an exciting public lecture to explore the world of prenatal development, and how the things we experience within the womb influence our abilities and preferences after birth.
