LuCiD
The ESRC International Centre for Language and Communicative Development (LuCiD) is a five year research collaboration working with partners from across the world to transform our understanding of how children learn to communicate with language.
The LuCiD team includes over 40 researchers and 7 PhD students from Lancaster University, the University of Liverpool and the University of Manchester investigating key research questions about language development. They are supported by colleagues from our international partners in Europe, the US and Australia.
LuCiD websiteReading Fairy
Developed by early-years reading experts, Reading Fairy aims to foster within young children a love of reading that will last them a lifetime. Reading Fairy’s curriculum supports every age and stage of a child’s preschool reading journey, and offers a variety of classes for different age groups. The main focus of Reading Fairy is to encourage learning through play, so all of their classes are highly interactive and involve a vast array of games, from fun phonics and word games to performance-based story telling.
