British Commission for Military History conference: Call for Papers
The Department of History is delighted to announce that the forthcoming New Researchers' Conference of the British Commission for Military History will be hosted at Lancaster, 8-9 November 2019.
The conference, now in its ninth year, fosters new and innovative research particularly amongst doctoral, post-doctoral and early career researchers. The theme of this year's conference is 'Theatres of War'.
As well as a tour of Lancaster Castle, the conference will feature a keynote speech by Professor John Gillingham FBA (LSE), ‘War and the Enslavement of the Enemy’s Women: From (the) Iliad to (the) Islamic State’.
The call for papers is now open, and can be downloaded here. The deadline for submissions is 30 June 2019.
