Susan is interested on the area of occupational stress and organizational health and well being. Her work has produced a number of innovative and best practice examples of organizational develeopment initatives to reduce stress and promote health, as well as leading to the development of a widely used stress screening tool, "ASSET" (with C.L.Cooper)
Other areas of research interest include: the impact of change, particularly the human aspects of mergers and acquisitions on organizational productivity, commitment, employee satisfaction and well being, expatriation, innovation, health and culture, training evaluation, emotional intelligence, the meaning of work and older workers
