Research Overview
Research in my lab encompasses the discovery, development and evaluation of biologics, particularly monoclonal antibodies, and small molecule drugs for snakebite envenoming and emerging viral threats.
We use antibody display technologies to identify novel antibodies that are then tested for specificity and neutralising efficacy using functional assays.
Our aim is to develop new therapeutic and diagnostic tools to alleviate the burden of Neglected Tropical Diseases and emerging viruses.
Development of Galleria mellonella as a replacement preclinical model for snakebite envenoming to reduce the need for murine models.
