EXTREME LOW ENERGY

Extreme Low Energy (ELe) is a supplier of low-energy DC power infrastructures offering a range of innovative solutions which allow customers to operate partially or fully “off-grid”. ELe have designed specially adapted, high performance DC-based devices including computers, monitors, batteries, servers, and lighting systems. The aim is to create low energy systems from generation to use.

PROJECT

The research project will investigate the dynamics driving global, local and regional datacentre markets and identify the key causal relationships responsible for their success. ELe is developing an innovative server cooling solution. This disruptive technology will transform the way datacentres are implemented and reduce server operating costs and carbon output by over 70 %. This research project investigated and developed the business model which will allow this disruptive technology to penetrate the market. The research additionally investigated the time and economic scales of adoption of similar technologies and identifed the enabling factors using a system dynamics methodology.

RICHLOVE FRIMPONG

Richlove has a BSc in Electrical/Electronic Engineering which she followed by studying an MSc in Operational Research and Management Science. Richlove’s interests lie in the application of Operational Research to provide practical and feasible solutions to various business problems and help drive effective and efficient decision-making.
