Tab Content: Overview
The Electech Innovation Cluster (ETIC) is a not for profit membership organisation for SMEs in the Morecambe Bay area trading in the Electech industry. ETIC currently has 22 members and is run by a leadership team of volunteers who are SME members, such as Like Technologies Ltd. The group’s ability to market itself effectively has been restricted due to limited time, funding and expertise available, however there is great potential to drive industry innovation across the Morecambe Bay area.
This project aims to develop the ETIC brand and marketing strategy to develop its impact both locally and nationally. This project will assess how best to market ETIC to enable its strategic goals to be achieved, including cluster and SME growth and sustainable environmental development. You will consider how the ETIC could be marketed nationally to enable the Morecambe Bay area to become a centre of excellent for Electech SMEs and future start-ups. This research will support ETIC’s understanding of its diversity, career opportunities and economic importance both now and in the future. It will also develop the ETIC’s ability to deliver low carbon solutions.
The outcome of this project will be the development of a strategic marketing plan for the cluster, to include both a local and national marketing campaign to promote the Electech industry.
Candidates should have a 2:1 degree in marketing, business management, entrepreneurship and strategy or a related discipline.
