Dr Lingxia Zhou

Dr Jocelin Lingxia Zhou is a Lecturer in Chinese and CI Teaching Lead at Lancaster University. Before joining Lancaster, Dr Zhou was a Chinese lecturer at Princeton University and the teaching lead for advanced Chinese at Princeton in Beijing. She has also taught at Waseda University, SOAS and Beijing Normal University. Lingxia is a member of American Association for Applied Linguistics, International Political Science Association and British Chinese British Chinese Language Teaching Society. Her research interests include language policy and planning, language attitude and ideology, and language pedagogy.

I welcome PhD proposals in the fields of Language Policy and Planning, Language Pedagogy, and Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language. I am also interested in proposals exploring the interplay between language and society, particularly with a focus on East Asia.
