Modern Languages at Lancaster University ranked within the top 100 in the world!

Lancaster is one of the top universities in the world for Modern Language study according to the 2022 QS World Rankings, where it has been ranked joint 81st in the latest subject tables, published this week.
The QS World University Rankings by Subject is the world’s most consulted university league table, naming the world’s best universities for the study of 51 academic disciplines. The subject tables cover 1543 of the best universities worldwide, evaluating the reputation of each institution and subject through global surveys of academics and employers and by research citations.
Lancaster University has dozens of subjects included in the prestigious listings, and is also ranked 132nd out of more than 1,000 universities in the QS World University Rankings 2022.
The Vice-Chancellor Professor Andy Schofield said he was delighted with Lancaster University’s position in the subject league tables: “I am particularly proud of the way Lancaster is able to draw on our outstanding disciplinary expertise to create a truly interdisciplinary approach to tackling some of the most challenging research questions with our creative staff and students, resulting in positive engagement and impact."
Lancaster has already been ranked 122nd in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2022, up from 136th in 2021 making Lancaster 15th out of the 101 UK universities included in the table.
