Join us for a special roundtable discussion with colleagues from a language, a history and a politics perspective to reflect on 120 years of the Entente Cordiale.

The School of Global Affairs is hosting a special roundtable discussion on Thursday 17th October at 6pm in Bowland North Seminar Room 2 to reflect on 120 years of the Entente Cordiale from several perspectives.

The speakers will be:

Olga Gomez-Cash from the School of Global Affairs, who teaches French and Spanish, will be chairing the roundtable.

Professor Gaynor Johnson from the Department of History is currently completing a book on British ambassadors to Paris in the interwar period.

Dr Martin Steven from the Department of Politics, Philosophy & Religion whose research interests lie in the area of European Union politics.

To mark this historical occasion, the School of Global Affairs together with the Alliance Française de Manchester is also hosting a bilingual exhibition 'When Marianne and Britannia Meet - L'Entente Cordiale' in the Roundhouse from the 14th to the 25th of October.
