A day of commemoration to remember those no longer with us.

Provisional Date

With thanks to the gracious permission of those involved, we will bring together the Nick Lewis Football Match and the Richard Slatter Pool Tournament in the hope that we can have a day of commemoration (and hopefully, celebration) which will be enjoyed by both past and current members of the College.

Furness Memorial Day | Saturday 15 March 2025

11.00am until 5.30pm, Furness College

• 11.00am in the JCR Common Room for sign-up's. Pool Competition in honour of Richard Slatter. The winner of this competition will receive a pool cue and carry case which has been kindly donated by the Slatter family.

• 2pm-4pm on the 3G pitch (tbc). Football Competition in honour of Nick Lewis. This year will mark the 35th anniversary. Come and watch Furness FC take on Furness Old Boys, our Alumni team. If you are an Alumni and wish to take part in the football competition then please do get in touch with the College Manager, Jo at furnessoffice@lancaster.ac.uk

• 5.00pm Competition presentations in Trevor Bar and/or the Furness TV Room.
