ImaginationLancaster

We are a globally recognised open and exploratory design-led research lab at Lancaster University, one of the top ten universities in the UK. Founded in 2006, we apply our exploratory design-led research research to address the complex challenges identified by industry, public and private sectors, national and international governments.

The Festival of Futures is the culmination of the £13.2M Beyond Imagination Project funded by Research England and Lancaster University demonstrating how cutting-edge design research can contribute to a healthier, more prosperous and sustainable world. The Principal Investigator of Beyond Imagination is Professor Nick Dunn, Executive Director of ImaginationLancaster and Chair of Urban Design at Lancaster University. The Co-Investigator is Professor Rachel Cooper OBE, Director of Design Management and Policy at Lancaster University. We would like to thank Research England and Lancaster University for funding the Festival of Futures.

ImaginationLancaster is housed within the Lancaster Institute of Contemporary Arts (LICA) – the award winning purpose-built creative arts facility with our bespoke facilitation space Imagination Lab. Visit our web site to find out more.
