    Triforium. Amiens [?] apse.  Note                                 does not bear on them. It looks flat
at its base the ugly battlement effect of                             between & blank and destroys all
the knee high bases: Then  the barbarous                              sense of elevation. seen that
intersection of the vertical shafts and                               if it did rest on the shafts I
clerestory: larger at a: and then the                                 could not stand [?]
extraordinary receding & stepped base
of clerestory windows looking as if they
were half blocked up with planks.
This filling is about one 5th  of the
height of clerestory window.

I have never seen so base a triforium.
