                                                                      (5)  Frari.  The Franciscans came to Venice after death of St
                                                                      	4 1250	Francis in 1227 to establish their rule there.
                                                                      		After much preparation, the first stone was laid in 1250
                                                                      		Called Ca’ Grande, as the largest of these dedicated to
                                                                      		the Virgine  de Frari, or Frati Minori.  In 1280
                                                                      		Nicolas 4th granted indulgences to whoever would

                                                                      		and finished by the merchants of Monza and Milan who
                                                                      		sojourned (stragiavano) a Venezia;  in 1396.
                                                                      		The bas relief over lateral door they ascribe to Parrebbe
                                                                      		of the school of the Leopardo.
