If therefore you feel yourself so secure, that there is no further need for you to resist unto death - striving against sin - no further need for you to keep under your body and bring into subjection - no further occasion to morfity your members which are upon the earth - If you feel that you can dispense with the aids with which God has provided you - and brave the dangers against which God has warned you; and this without risk to your soul then also, from this Younger Soldier in Christ’s army - from this feebler pilgrim in Christ’s way, like the shield of faith and sword of the word - let him trust in his assurance of Salvation; subject him to no discipline and to no reproof - instruct him not in the will of his Maker - train him not in his ways - suffer him to forego every vantage which his own exertion might be instrumental to procure; and trust still that he will endure to the end and be saved: But if this you dare not do in your own case, much less dare you do it in His.
