[Madonna dell Orto] No.33 continued House No

very valuable as an expansion into cinque Type
cento of the late rose and leaf plinth
its leaves having the exquisite edge and Masonry Leaves on cable
graceful curve of the late ornaments and
its roses being subdivided and starry, Archivolt Breadth
But the upper carved plinth is much
simpler and I think earlier though also Archivolt Section
of the leaf and rose.
This part of the section from m to n Jamb Section
on last page is bent round and carried
over and round the hexagonal capital Pil Head.
of the final shaft - very awkwardly
and so runs along under the plinth 2.
and the masonry of it looks older than
that of this part of it which is added on
round the arch above at d- and I
believe that - as well as the vile shell
within it to be later.
And yet the carved plinth is early comparatively
as well as its crockets - and is carried
below a. on a hexagonal pedestal almost
plain . but for an ugly cipher or
something in centre of it - and this
   the
on ^ [composite ?] late capital of the
   shaft q.
