Ruskin is here using a numbering system starting from what he called the 18th Capital in his final numbering system for the Ducal Palace. Series of Capitals of the Lower Arcade. The tenth capital by this system is therefore the 28th Capital of the Ducal Palace Lower Arcade by Ruskin’s final system. Compare the diagram at Palace Book p.13L. Ruskin begins his account of it at Palace Book p.41 and continues it at Palace Book p.41L.
