Notebook M p.184 ‘temperantia sum’ Here the transcription, including the drawing, is ‘Temperantia sun inomib2S’ , which is clearly to be read as a form of ‘temperantia sum in omnibus’, i.e. ‘I am temperance in all things.’ However that does not fit with the argument that Ruskin is making at Works, 10.395 and the last two words of the inscription are left unexamined there.
