Erigone hanged herself when she heard of the death of her father and became the constellation Virgo. aster and Pollux, the Dioscuri, are the Laconian twins for whom the constellation ‘Gemini is named. ‘Stilbon’ is the planet Mercury. So the words mean: ‘Mercury occupies the houses of Virgo and Gemini’
